• Compass view: Heading and road data are sourced from the high-trim VW OEM head unit (AID). In VW models the behavior mirrors the Volkswagen Active Info Display—VW’s factory virtual cockpit display implementation.
• Switching the navigation source: In the electronic compass screen, press the function key to toggle between phone mirroring and center head-unit integration (see the installation video for exact steps).
• Map scale: In the Klassisch navigation layout, long-press OK to adjust map zoom.

2) UI Themes, Bluetooth Calling & Vehicle Info

• UI themes: Bis zu 8 themes available to suit readability and style preferences.
• Bluetooth calling: The cluster itself does not provide Bluetooth calling. Pair your phone with the center head unit. If the analog system didn’t support BT calling, the LCD cluster won’t add it.
• Vehicle info: Centralized fault/status readouts for quick troubleshooting.

3) Ambient Color, Maintenance Info & Dial Styles

• Ambient color: Adjust the dial background color to match cabin styling.
• Maintenance: Service interval/mileage are shown; reset/edits require a diagnostic tool.
• Dial styles: Switch RPM/speed presentation (e.g., Classic/Sport) and layout logic.

4) Time, Language & Boot Sound

• Time: On PQ-Plattform the calendar date cannot be set. If it fails to write once, try a few times. Some Audi clusters require switching to another screen and waiting ~1 minute before it saves.
• Language: Supports 9 languages.
• Boot sound: Adjust the boot animation sound; no boot sound on head-unit integration variant.

5) Brightness, Pointer Styles & Vehicle Model Color

• Brightness: For some models (protocol-limited), brightness is manual in night mode only.
• Pointer styles: Adjust pointer color and sensitivity to improve readability/response.
• Vehicle model color: Change the miniature car model color in the “Vehicle Info” screen.
• Driver position: Set LHD/RHD to match door-open indicators for your region.

6) Version Info, Bluetooth (Engineering) & Wi-Fi

• Version info: The lowercase “app” label is followed by the software date. When reporting issues, first take a screenshot of this page.
• Bluetooth (engineering): The cluster does not provide phone BT calling; this menu is for engineering use only.
• WLAN: Used for phone-based updates and remote protocol capture; not for daily consumer features.

7) Vehicle Selection & Engineering Mode

• Vehicle selection: After changing vehicle profile, switch the ignition off and lock the car for a few minutes so the settings persist after sleep/wake.
• Engineering mode: For protocol capture and advanced debugging. Avoid changes unless guided by support.

8) Configuration Calibration (PQ / MQB)

Wichtig: MQB generally does not require fuel/consumption calibration; PQ requires it per the installation video.

1. PQ fuel calibration: Follow the video steps under “Configuration Calibration.”
2. Speed calibration: Use your phone’s GPS speed as reference. If GPS is 120 km/h and the cluster shows 118 km/h, set speed offset to +2; otherwise use a negative value.
3. Pointer sensitivity: Fine-tune RPM/speed pointer responsiveness to match OEM feel.

9) Preferences & Common Readouts

• Preferences: Arrange multiple items (speed, alerts, oil data, etc.) in one screen.
• Speed & speed alerts: Set thresholds for audible/visual warnings.
• Oil temperature/level: Real-time data for thermal management and engine health.
• Trip reset: Use the lower-left cluster key TRIP → KM to clear.
• Spannung: Battery voltage display for early low-voltage detection.

Integration & Retrofit Notes

• Android head unit integration: Align cluster themes and turn-by-turn prompts with the head unit for a seamless virtual cockpit display experience.
• CAN-BUS compatibility: Confirm gateway, steering-wheel mapping, camera/AMP presence, and ADAS indicators for stable communication.
• Plug-and-play wiring harness: Prefer PnP looms to avoid cutting factory wires; this reduces installation risk and preserves OEM functionality.
• Design lineage: UI logic and visual patterns are inspired by premium setups like the Mercedes S-Class digital cockpit und BMW programmable cluster, adapted to Ikagoo’s LCD-Instrumententafel im Auto form factor.
