- Confirm the exact product version. Check your order information or go to Einstellungen → Über to identify the current software, MCU or UI version.
- Use only the official package for your unit. Do not use firmware from another seller, another vehicle, or another iKAGOO order unless support confirms it is compatible.
-
Verify the final file name.
The update file must be
gor.tar. Extra names such asgor.tar.zip,gor.tar(1),GOR.TARodergor (1).tarare not acceptable. - Keep stable power. Battery voltage should stay above 12.2V. A power maintainer is recommended. If the engine is running, keep the vehicle in a safe and ventilated area.

Critical Firmware Rules
gor.tar Firmware Rules: Avoid Wrong Firmware and Black Screen
1. File Name Must Be Exact
The final firmware file must be named gor.tar, all lowercase, without extra spaces, numbers or extensions.
2. USB Root Only
The cluster will usually detect the file only when gor.tar is placed directly in the USB root directory.
3. PO and MOB Cannot Be Mixed
PO and MOB firmware files may use the same gor.tar file name, but they are not interchangeable. Cross-flashing the wrong platform may cause no-boot, black screen or stuck logo.
4. Version Check Comes First
Before updating, compare the current version in Einstellungen → Über with the update package information supplied by iKAGOO support.
Update Procedure
Run the LCD Instrument Cluster USB Update
-
1
Turn ignition to ACC/ON. Wait until the digital cluster fully boots.
-
2
Insert the USB drive into the cluster service USB port. Do not use the head unit media USB port unless iKAGOO support specifically tells you to.
-
3
Open the update menu. Gehen Sie zu Settings → System → Update → USB Update. Some units may auto-detect the update file.
-
4
Confirm the update. The screen may go black, restart, or show no visible progress during some stages. This can be normal.
-
5
Wait until the update is complete. Do not remove USB or cut power during the update.
-
6
Restart correctly. When prompted, remove the USB drive, power off the vehicle, lock the car for about 3 minutes, then restart and check the version.

Post-Update Checklist for Your LCD Instrument Cluster
